2010 Kids Triathlon

The 2010 Kids Triathlon is well under way. Coordinated by Central Westmoreland Habitat for Humanity, the goal is to introduce the sport of triathlon to children. This event promotes a fun and healthy way for kids to have a feeling of accomplishment and encourage self-esteem.

Ages 7-9

Swim: 50 yds

Bike: 1/2 mile

Run: 1/4 mile

Ages 10-12

Swim: 100 yds

Bike: 1 mile

Run: 1/2 mile

The 2010 Kids Triathlon also provides the event's sponsors with the opportunity to be recognized as organizations that are committed to the youth of our community by encouraging sports and a healthy lifestyle while also exposing kids to the importance of community services.

Location: Lynch Field, Greensburg, PA

Triathlon is the fastest growing sport in America, especially among kids. It creates an environment for fun competition. It is perfect for active and inactive kids because it challenges them to train in three disciplines; swim – bike – run, involves their parents as support and training partners, and creates a positive atmosphere of both psychological and physical health.

Your Sponsorship support for the 2010 CWHFH Kids Triathlon, our annual event will make the CWHFH Kids Triathlon a memorable day for the 100 youngsters participating.

As a bonus, all funds in excess of actual event expenses will be used to build houses in our community. In the past we were able to reach $10,000 to aide in the cost associated with building homes for the members of our community.
